Mettle Music

Mettle Music Productions originated circa 1998 in Manchester England, seeded from deep house DJ Nic Conef's vision of building a collective of producers & musicians looking to collaborate on music with depth, musicality and soul. 

It began with bunch of demos variously and collaboratively put together by Nic, Mark Wadsworth & Dave Tracey finding their way to Sheffield's highly respected deep house label Toko Recordings, resulting in the first vinyl EP release in 1999.

Inspired by this initial success, Nic and Mark decided to double down, resulting in the critically acclaimed albums Honeycomb Lounge (Toko 2001) & Moodswings (Bar De Lune 2003), while continuing to releasing many other tracks under various aliases, before setting up the Mettle Music Label & Vibes CD Compilation series around 2005.

Although there have been no new releases for a while, the catalogue of both Mettle Music Productions and the label are widely available to stream and download (you can also pick up the CD's and some of the vinyl from various online stores around the world).
